PGA IGI welcomes new students in July

The PGA International Golf Institute (PGA IGI) welcomed a new cohort of students on Monday 10th July, arriving on the beautiful Gold Coast from around the globe for the July 2017 intake.

These students will join the PGA IGI’s current class of students who commenced their studies in February, undertaking the 10459NAT Diploma of Golf Management. This nationally recognised recognised qualification is delivered over one year of study at the PGA IGI Campus at Sanctuary Cove Golf & Country Club.

The July intake saw students joining the PGA IGI from Australia as well as throughout Asia. Students from Asia have travelled from Singapore, Korea, Indonesia and Japan to begin their study in Australia for the next year.

Studying Australia’s only Diploma of Golf Management, student will learn the business, management and operations of the golf industry. This is combined with practical golf competitions and golf training across the one year of study.

“We enjoy orientation day as It is always the beginning of a great experience, welcoming students to the PGA IGI at each of our intakes,” explained Mrs Christine Straw, PGA IGI Senior Manager.

“We see the students grow across their year of study with PGA IGI as they follow their passion toward a career in golf”.

Upon successful completion of 10459NAT Diploma of Golf Management, students utilise our advanced entry pathways to enter Year 2 of Bachelor Degrees at Griffith University, Year 2 of the PGA Trainee Program or begin their journey toward a career in golf.

“We look forward to working with all our students throughout the year along with those who are also commencing their studies with us in October”, said Straw.

New students still have the opportunity to apply for the last intake of 2017, commencing studies on Tuesday 3rd October.

Applications are now open for 2018 intakes which begin in January, April, July and October.
