Completing the PGA Institute Diploma of Sport equips students with a comprehensive skill set to excel in the sport and recreation industry. Graduates will gain expertise in managing business risks, work health and safety, budgets, meetings, and projects, as well as leading and managing teams effectively. They will develop skills to protect children and young people, apply anti-doping policies, and maintain stakeholder relationships. The course also focuses on practical aspects such as organizing sport and recreation events, implementing participation strategies, and leveraging technology for industry-specific tasks. Additionally, students will learn to build personal work priorities and develop athlete personal brands, preparing them for diverse career opportunities in the golf and broader sports industries.

All students studying the Diploma of Business must meet the following entry requirements:
- Aged 18-years or older
- Completion of Australian Year 12 (equivalent) or higher education OR
- Successfully complete LLN Assessment Test with PGA Institute

International Students
All students studying the Diploma of Golf Business & Management (11256NAT) must meet the following entry requirements:
- Aged 18-years or older
- Completion of Australian Year 12 (equivalent) or higher education
- Successfully complete LLN Assessment Test with PGA Institute
- Minimum English Language Proficiency Level required:
- IELTS overall band score 6.0
- TOEFL-iBT score of 60
- Cambridge English Scale score of 169
- PTE-A overall score of 51.6
- OET score of C

Higher Education Pathway

Through our partnership with Torrens University we are able to offer the following pathways to bachelor degrees.
Complete the Diploma of Sport and progress to one of the following course at Torrens University. Delivery available online or on-campus:

PATHWAY TO BECOMING A PGA PROFESSIONAL
Successful graduates in the Diploma of Sport may be able to access PGA pathways into the PGA Member Pathway Program(MPP). These pathways are available for those who wish to turn their passion for golf into a career as a Full Vocational Member of the PGA of Australia (PGA Professional).
Completion of this course will give students a credit for year 3 academics of the MPP, potentially allowing the completion of the MPP in 2 years instead of 3 (assuming the completion of workplace and playing requirements)
