Class of 2015 graduates from the PGA IGI Gold Coast Campus

Students from the PGA IGI Gold Coast Campus gathered at Sanctuary Cove Golf & Country Club to celebrate the graduating class of 2015. The graduation ceremony saw graduating students, parents, trainers and special guests come together to celebrate the achievements of PGA IGI students throughout the year.

Chairman of the PGA of Australia, Mark Gibson, welcomed and addressed those in attendance at the graduation. Gibson reflected on his experiences in the golf industry and of those graduates he has witnessed come through the PGA IGI Program. As a PGA IGI golf coach for over 15 years, Gibson has mentored many PGA IGI Students who are now PGA Professionals or Industry Managers, in Australia and throughout the world.

The Dean’s Honour Award is presented to student’s who showcase academic excellence, student leadership and honourable golfing achievements. In 2015, two students received the award who both grew up outside of Australian shores. Htoo Khine Win (Myanmar) and Laura Goh (Malaysia) served as leaders within the classroom and on the golf course for their peers, and will continue to do so within the golf industry into the future.

Our 2015 Academic Dux’s were both female golfers with bright futures in the industry. Chloe McSaveney (Australia) and Laura Goh (Malaysia) excelled in all academics and will prove to become valuable members of the golf industry in the years to come.

Graduating students of the 10459NAT Diploma of Golf Management are now utilising the PGA IGI pathways into Bachelor Degrees with Griffith University, entering the PGA Trainee Program, or starting their careers working within the golf industry.

On 18th December 2015, the graduation ceremony for the PGA IGI Sydney Campus will take place at ICMS Campus in Manly, NSW.
